Campaign Rules

Playing the Campaign

Play a Raid and Ruin campaign with two or more players. Each battle should be played using one of the missions in this book. Players gain Notoriety Points (NP) during the battle through the Spoils of War and by completing challenges.

Winning the Campaign

Each title has a value in NP listed in the final columns of the table. To determine a player's NP, add the value of the titles they have claimed (at most one title from each column) to the number they have for their victories. The player with the highest NP at the end wins. Ties broken by victories, then titles.

No Corsair Left Behind

This campaign relies on each player playing the same number of battles. If a player has fewer battles played at the end, they can play a mission but will not receive NP or titles for playing, and their victory count will not increase if they win.

Challenges

Whenever a player completes the first title for a challenge in the table, they earn the challenge for a second time; instead of taking the second title in that column. When they complete it a third time, they earn the final title. NP for each challenge are not cumulative — players have the choice of the highest title achieved for each challenge.

Spoils of War

After each battle, after gaining any Notoriety points for victory and completing challenges, each player identifies their Spoils of War. Roll two D6 for a D66 result. The first represents the tens, the second the units. Once a player has made all of their rolls, they choose one result — until end of the campaign, only one artisan item from the Maelstrom may be looted. Their choice will only last for the next battle.

Ransack and Ravage

The missions in this book use objective markers to represent prizes and plunder the players are fighting over. Each time a unit completes any action concluding with the Secure the Plunder step, it can leave the battlefield from the edge of your opponent's table. Units carrying an objective marker cannot use Fire Overwatch or Heroic Intervention stratagems.
